TheCamusina pear of Bonarcado is an endemic variety of Sardinia, considered among the most well-known and valuable for the island’s biodiversity. The result of a long process of mass selection based on agronomic traits, the Camusina pear provided a source of income for many communities, being grown under dry-farming conditions with minimal agronomic inputs. Today, it is recognized as a Traditional Agri-food Product (PAT) of the Region of Sardinia.
